Comptroller fixes payroll glitch and will start withholding state employee pay for Connecticut’s family and medical leave program

The failure to withhold state employee contributions to the program enacted in 2019 legislation riled critics who opposed the program from the start. About 18,000 non-union state workers, along with private sector workers, are eligible for the benefit.Unionized state employees already receive pad leave benefits.
