Connecticut’s GOP House and Senate leaders condemn insurrection at U.S. Capitol but few address Trump’s refusal to accept election results and whether he bears responsibility

About 15 minutes into a speech to supporters last Wednesday, before rioters overtook the Capitol, Trump told the crowd, “We’re going walk down to the Capitol, and we’re going to cheer on our brave senators, and congressmen and women. We’re probably not going to be cheering so much for some of them because you’ll never take back our country with weakness. You have to show strength, and you have to be strong.”
