Then there was the matter of getting all the proper equipment to IMG Academy. Unsure of what materials would be provided by the league, Ragle packed everything she could possibly think of — athletic tape, massage tables, hydrocollator units, crutches, boots, rubbing alcohol — and the team shipped it all down to Florida in a pod. Other things, Ragle needed to procure on the spot. She ordered large portable containers she saw the men’s soccer team use when she worked at UConn, which she says have “worked out incredibly” as ice baths. And then whatever Ragle doesn’t have, an athletic trainer from a different team has stepped up to provide, a benefit to having all 12 teams and their staffs together at a single site.
