Connecticut State Police: This year’s holiday season yields more motor vehicle injuries, fewer DUI arrests than 2018

During a similar time period in 2018, state police made more DUI arrests and issued more speeding citations — the 2018 holiday total was 659 speeding tickets and 55 DUI arrests. Last year, police also responded to more motor vehicle collisions, totaling 550 last year, but fewer of those collisions involved injuries, according to the police statistics.
